Steak 'n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes. For over 85 years, the company's name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word "steak" stood for steakburger. The term "shake" stood for hand-dipped milkshakes. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business. Today, Steak 'n Shake remains the "better burger" leader, serving premium 100% beef steakburgers, hand-dipped milkshakes, thin crispy fries, and more. Steakburgers are made without preservatives or artificial ingredients, topped with fresh produce, and always hand-crafted to order. Other classics include the Frisco Melt, 7x7, Prime Steakburgers, and fan favorite M&M milkshakes.

This is an awesome place. The food is really good and the hospitality is the best. I lost my ID and stopped by to see if I happened to loose it at the restuarant. The manager himself took care of me . I didn't find my ID but he gave me a ultimate banana shake on the house. That is what I call Southern Hospitality. Will be stopping here again for sure

They could be short staffed. Iâ€™m not sure. They could be poor management more likely. I ordered almost 40 dollars worth of food. Every item besides one was wrong. The Frisco melt was on pieces of hamburger buns, I took pictures. We got seriously baked beans instead of chili. We didnâ€™t get our shakes we ordered at all. I have been going to this same Steak â€˜n Shake for like 10 years now and have never have such a bad experience. I have noticed last 2 years something is up. Tonight was like they honestly didnâ€™t even care. I would not recommend this place at all.

The ice cream machines at McDonald's are more reliable than this place, currently closed 2200-0800 Mon-Sun for "circumstances."

I think its because of the virus that they do not want to open thier dinning areas. I think that just because all the other places are open dinning dosent mean that stake and shake wants to open thiers and take a risk of spreading the virus

Leaving Steak n shake, turn Left onto Barrett Pky, go through one light. Panera will be on the Right, next to the VW dealership.
